Fortress of Cuteness

Participate in Global Game Jam is a dream coming true.

Is the first GGJ that Igor is participating, and is my second one - the first one was in 2013.
More than 10 years later, i'm here making games for fun. And what fun!
We love the actual theme from 2024. Since we have a more sarcastic humor, it was very easy to bring ideas that we want to apply.
After some discussion, we decided to work on a shooter inspired by the shoot-on-rails games from 80s/90s in terms of gameplay, and inspired by adult cartoons like South Park and Tree Happy Friends that has this kind of distorted idea of cute things making the most horrible jokes.

With those mixed references, we developed the "Fortress of Cuteness".

In a dystopian future, all cute animals has joined forces and use all their cuteness to manipulate humans until their apocalypse. Now, with the end of the human race, the cute animals wants to rule all the world. To this, they will end with all exotic animals that are alive.

You control a platypus soldier controlling a mecha to kill all cute animals before they win this war.

We have a lot of ideas to implement, but in soo short time we're unable to do it. Even so, we hope that you all enjoy to play this game as much we liked to develop this. The theme is "make me laugh", and during this process we laugh a lot - so it's kind a success, right?

CONTROLS:
- Use the mouse to aim and move through the scenario;
- Use the left button to shoot.

DIVERSIFIERS:
- You can play only using one hand with the mouse;
- Based on a True Story: i have a pomeranian lulu named "Pupuca". She was my biggest inspiration to say that cute animals can extinct humans just by manipulation (and i love her for that);
- It's impossible to talk about cute animals and don't say nothing about the cute animal that ALREADY rule the world. Kill Mickey.
